| Wow. This is going to be a BATTLE Royale of sorts . After the first batch, I thought the future of Mr. International looks bleak ... But on its second screening with a powerhouse cast that includes (Dennis and Ian ... now theres Jeff Surio, Jimmy Dionisio, Ryan Dungo, Christopher Ong hay, John, Lawrence and Norman) now a fight to the finish is in the offing.
I never have been excited. Just one word though ... I think international competetions still go with FACIAL Beauty first ... and not BODY PHYSIQUE which Filipinos think is the first consideration.
As they say ... you could hardly get the best of both worlds ... in one person. A candidate may have a gorgeous face ... but his bodily proportion is something only his mother would love.
On the other hand ... one may have a body physique that would put a blush at UP's oblation ... but his face is one that doesn't deserve a second look.
I know it is hard. Although a combination of both is a knockout punch! Let's keep on dreaming! |

After 4 official screenings, here are the 15 gentlemen who have qualified for a chance to compete for the Mister International Philippines 2008 crown on September 1, 2008 at the A. Venue Events Mall (7829 Makati Avenue corner Valdez Street, Makati City)

Three more spots await the deserving applicants. Interested parties can come to 5th and last screening at the 360 Restaurant Bar (located on the 2nd level of A. Venue Events Mall) on August 25, 2008 from 2 PM to 5 PM. A candidate must be a male citizen of the Philippines or a primary resident of the Philippines for at least 6 months immediately prior to the local pageant. He must be 18-years-old and under 30-years-old as of May 1, 2008 and never been married. Candidate must also be at least 5’10 and must possess a handsome face and well-toned physique.
